Train Rolling Home is an older song that I wrote about 10 years ago.
When I was in University, I decided to go and plant trees one summer in Hornepayne, Ontario. After about a week on the job, I decided that it simply was not for me. I was homesick and didn’t want to be living in the bush anymore. So I quit my job and headed to the Hearst train station.
I had a little money set aside, and proceeded to spend most of it at the local pub. By the time I got on the train to Toronto, I was pretty much flat broke. So I took out my guitar and wrote this song. Train Rolling Home was literally written on a train rolling home.
This is the second version of this tune I recorded, and I’m really excited with how it turned out.
